The Stalemate Continues

This past weekend’s election of incumbent Phil Kirsch confirms that the referendum on Kimco in Wilde Lake is complete.  It is unfortunate that the developer has failed to connect with the community, nor has it engaged it in the kind of extensive planning process Columbia has come to expect.  It seems that Kimco’s failure to communicate with the folks in the area has left them pining for a grocery store that is not economically feasible, while they are unwilling to talk about other solutions.  And meanwhile, no change is on the horizon.

We can only hope Kimco is listening.  Because something’s got to give.
