A Real Nice Surprise

We would like to sincerely thank whoever it was that nominated us for a Mobbie. This is a tremendous honor, and a testament to the hard work of many people, mainly our founders David Yungmann, Mac Cassity and my sister Katie Dunn.

Their dedicated effort brought the redevelopment of Downtown Columbia debate to a younger audience through new media. They started this blog, produced videos, held events, testified before the County Council, and started a Facebook page that exceeded the maximum number of friends allowed. Most of their ideas were carried out in a trial-by-fire manner, but that was the beauty of being at the forefront of the new media revolution. And there was always substance behind everything they did.

Now that the plan has passed, and we have re-elected the leaders who made it possible, Columbia 2.0 will continue to focus on making Columbia a better place for generations to come.
